The Global Council consists of philanthropists and collectors from across the country, who gather in New York City and around the world to discuss compelling events and ideas in the modern and contemporary art world as it relates to black culture.
The Council is invited to events year-round, such as private collection visits, gallery tours, access to VIP openings, and early access to art fairs. The Council also has the rare opportunity to travel with the Studio Museum on an annual trip. Previous trips have offered preview passes to the Venice Biennale, personal tours of private collections and public institutions in Los Angeles, VIP tickets to the world premiere of Soul of a Nation at the Tate Modern, and a curated tour of Prospect 4 in New Orleans.
